Andrea's album likely delayed
By Daniel Lindberg - 23rd August 2006

Due to total lack of official news from the record company about Andrea's upcoming solo debut, currently going under the name "Present", it is fair to suspect that the album is being delayed and not released this autumn after all.
According to the head of press at RNP, the out of house press group for Andrea at Atlantic UK, the album is not on his schedule for the rest of the year. According to him it is therefore likely being released in beginning of next year.
This information is further supported by the media company Stylorouge who is in charge of the EPK (Electronic Press Kit), and claim that they still have not recieved any deadline or release date from Atlantic.

Dreams
The Corrs

Now here you go again, you say you want your freedom
Well who am I to keep you down
It's only right that you should play the way you feel it
But listen carefully to the sound
Of your loneliness

Like a heartbeat drives you mad
In the stillness of remembering what you had
And what you lost

CHORUS:

Yeah, thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
Yeah, women they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean you'll know, you'll know

Now here I go again, I see the crystal visions
I keep my visions to myself
Well, it's only me that wants to wrap around your dreams and
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell
Dreams of loneliness

Like a heartbeat drives you mad (drives you mad)
In the stillness of remembering what you had
(Drives you mad) and what you lost (remember what you had)

Thunder only happens when it's raining
(Thunder only happens when it's)
Players only love you when they're playing
(Players only love you when they're)
Yeah, women they will come and they will go (they will go)
When the rain washes you clean you'll know, oh oh

Yeah, thunder only happens when it's raining
(Thunder only happens when it's)
And players only love you when they're playing
(Players only love you when they're)
Yeah, women they will come and they will go (they will go)
When the rain washes you clean you'll know

You'll know (the heartbeat drives you mad) you'll know
(remember what you had) (the heartbeat drives you mad) you'll know
You'll know

SIXPENCE NONE THE RICHER - KISS ME

Sixpence None the Richer was a pop/rock band with roots in New Braunfels, Texas, eventually settling in Nashville, Tennessee. They are named after a passage in writer C. S. Lewis' Mere Christianity.

Guitarist/songwriter Matt Slocum met vocalist Leigh Bingham Nash at a church retreat in the early 1990s. They recorded a demo (which now circulates as "The Original Demos") at Verge Music Works recording studio in Dallas, and eventually an album, "The Fatherless and the Widow," for the Contemporary Christian record label R.E.X. Music in 1993. The record featured Chris Dodds (of Slocum's other band, Love Coma) on drums. Shortly after the release of the album, Slocum left Love Coma to pursue Sixpence full time. The band added Tess Wiley (guitar) J. J. Plasencio (bass) and Dale Baker (drums) for 1995's "This Beautiful Mess." Both albums were produced by producer Armand John Petri.

"Kiss Me" is a song recorded by Sixpence None the Richer. It reached number two on the U.S. Hot 100 and number four on the Canadian Singles Chart, making it the group's highest-charting single across the world.

The song was released as a single in 1999, propelling Sixpence into the US pop spotlight. The Grammy-nominated song became the top airplay song in over 10 countries including Canada, the UK, Japan (later, the band re-recorded "Kiss Me" with Japanese lyrics), Australia, and Israel and was also featured in a number of motion pictures (She's All That) and TV Shows (Dawson's Creek, Saturday Night Live, MTV's The Real World, The Young and the Restless, Days of Our Lives and others). One version of the video for the song became VH1's number-one video for the entire month of May. In June 1999, "Kiss Me" was featured during the BBC's worldwide broadcast of Prince Edward's wedding ceremonies, at the request of Britain's royal family. "Kiss Me" was also used in 2001's Not Another Teen Movie, during a scene that parodied one from 1999's She's All That, in which the song was prominently featured. The song has also been covered by artists such as Avril Lavigne.

The music video pays tribute to french filmmaker François Truffaut and his movie Jules et Jim, made in black and white and recreating many of the classic scenes.

Kiss me
Sixpence None the Richer

Kiss me out of the bearded barley.
Nightly, beside the green, green grass.
Swing, swing, swing the spinning step.
You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress.

Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight.
Lead me out on the moonlit floor.
Lift your open hand.
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance,
Silver moon's sparkling.
So kiss me.

Kiss me down by the broken tree house.
Swing me upon its hanging tire.
Bring, bring, bring your flowered hat.
We'll take the trail marked on your father's map.

Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight.
Lead me out on the moonlit floor.
Lift your open hand.
Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance,
Silver moon's sparkling.
So kiss me

Looks like we made it
Look how far we've come my baby

We knew we'd get there someday

They said, "I bet they'll never make it"
But just look at us holding on
We're still together still going strong

You're still the one I run to
The one that I belong to
You're still the one I want for life

You're still the one that I love
The only one I dream of
You're still the one I kiss good night

Ain't nothin' better
We beat the odds together

Look at what we would be missin'

From this moment on
Shania Twain

From this moment life has begun
From this moment you are the one
Right beside you is where I belong
From this moment on

From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your love I'd give my last breath
From this moment on

I give my hand to you with all my heart
Can't wait to live my life with you, can't wait to start
You and I will never be apart
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment on

You're the reason I believe in love
And you're the answer to my prayers from up above
All we need is just the two of us
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give

From this moment
I will love you as long as I live
From this moment on

RIHANNA - UNFAITHFUL

Rihanna was born on the Caribbean island of Barbados. She was the first of three children to Ronald and Monica Fenty. Her mother is of black/Guyanese descent and her father is a biracial Bajan of Irish descent. She has two younger brothers named Rorrey and Rajad. Rihanna went to Charles F. Broome Memorial School, a primary school in Barbados, and then on to one of Barbados' secondary schools, the Combermere School, where she formed a musical trio with two of her classmates.

In 2004, she won the Miss Combermere Beauty Pageant and performed in the Colours of Combermere School Show, singing Mariah Carey's "Hero". At the age of 15, Rihanna received her big break when one of her friends introduced her to music producer Evan Rogers, who was vacationing in Barbados with his wife. Rogers, along with his partner, Carl Sturken, helped Rihanna record material in the US which was sent to various recording companies. One copy of Rihanna's work was sent to Jay-Z, who eventually signed her to his record label Island Def Jam Records.

Unfaithful is a pop song written by Ne-Yo, Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel S. Eriksen for Rihanna's second album A Girl Like Me (2006). It was produced by Stargate and released as the album's second single in mid-2006. Unfaithful reached number one in seven countries and charted strongly across the world.

Unfaithful
Rihanna

Story of my life
Searching for the right
But it keeps avoiding me
Sorrow in my soul
Cause it seems that wrong
Really loves my company

He's more than a man
And this is more than love
The reason that the sky is blue
The clouds are rolling in
Because I'm gone again
And to him I just can't be true

And I know that he knows I'm unfaithful
And it kills him inside
To know that I am happy with some other guy
I can see him dying

CHORUS:

I don't wanna do this anymore
I don't wanna be the reason why
Everytime I walk out the door
I see him die a little more inside
I don't wanna hurt him anymore
I don't wanna take away his life
I don't wanna be...
A murderer

I feel it in the air
As I'm doing my hair
Preparing for another date
A kiss upon my cheek
As he reluctantly
Asks if I'm gonna be out late
I say I won't be long
Just hanging with the girls
A lie I didn't have to tell
Because we both know
Where I'm about to go
And we know it very well

Cause I know that he knows I'm unfaithful
And it kills him inside
To know that I am happy with some other guy
I can see him dying

CHORUS:

I don't wanna do this anymore
I don't wanna be the reason why
Everytime I walk out the door
I see him die a little more inside
I don't wanna hurt him anymore
I don't wanna take away his life
I don't wanna be...
A murderer

Our love, his trust
I might as well take a gun and put it to his head
Get it over with
I don't wanna do this
Anymore
Uh
Anymore (anymore)

CHORUS

No no no no

Yeah yeah yeah

ELTON JOHN AND LEANN RIMES - WRITTEN IN THE STARS

Elton John
was one of the dominant commercial forces in the rock world during the 1970s, with a string of seven consecutive #1 records on the U.S. album charts, 23 Top 40 singles, 16 Top 10 ones, and six #1 hits. His success had a profound impact on popular music, and contributed to the continued popularity of the piano in rock and roll. Key musical elements in John's success included his melodic gifts matched with the contributions of his lyricist partner Bernie Taupin, his rich tenor and gospel-chorded piano, aggressive string arrangements, and his flamboyant fashion sense and on-stage showmanship.

His 1999 duet with LeAnn Rimes, Written in the Stars, reached #29 on the U.S. Top 40, marking the 30th consecutive year in which Elton John had had a Top 40 single. (However, this methodology credits one late 1995 hit {"Blessed") that extended into the January 1996 chart, and another single ("Candle in the Wind '97") whose chart run covered both 1997 and 1998.)

Written in the Stars
LeAnn Rimes and Elton John

Elton

I am here to tell you we can never meet again
Simple really, isn't it, a word or two and then
A lifetime of not knowing where or how or why or when
You think of me or speak of me or wonder what befell
The someone you once loved so long ago so well

LeAnn

Never wonder what I'll feel as living shuffles by
You don't have to ask me and I need not reply
Every moment of my life from now until I die
I will think or dream of you and fail to understand
How a perfect love can be confounded out of hand

LeAnn and Elton (Chorus)

Is it written in the stars
Are we paying for some crime
Is that all that we are good for
Just a stretch of mortal time

Is this God's experiment
In which we have no say
In which we're given paradise
But only for a day

Elton

Nothing can be altered, there is nothing to decide
No escape, no change of heart, no anyplace to hide

LeAnn

You are all I'll ever want, but this I am denied
Sometimes in my darkest thoughts, I wish I'd never learned

Leann and Elton

What it is to be in love and have that love returned

Chorus

JAMES BROWN - CAN'T GET ANY HARDER

James Joseph Brown, Jr.
(May 3, 1933 – December 25, 2006), commonly referred to as "The Godfather of Soul", was an American entertainer recognized as one of the most influential figures in 20th-century popular music.
As a prolific singer, songwriter, bandleader, and record producer, Brown was a seminal force in the evolution of gospel and rhythm and blues into soul and funk. He left his mark on numerous other musical genres, including rock, jazz, reggae, disco, dance and electronic music, afrobeat, and hip hop music.
In 2006, Brown continued his "Seven Decades Of Funk World Tour", to be his last, performing all over the world. His latest shows were still greeted with positive reviews. His last Irish performance was at the Oxegen festival in Punchestown in 2006.

One of the major musical influences of the past 50 years, James Brown was to rhythm and dance music what Bob Dylan was to lyrics.
From Jagger to Michael Jackson, David Bowie to Public Enemy, his rapid-footed dancing, hard-charging beats and heartfelt yet often unintelligible vocals changed the musical landscape.

Brown was admitted to the Emory Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia on December 24, 2006 after a dentist visit where he was found to have severe pneumonia. Brown died the next day on December 25, 2006, Christmas Day, at around 1:45 a.m. (06:45 UTC) aged 73. The cause of death was heart failure, according to his agent. James was quoted saying "I'm going away tonight" sometime before he passed away. He then took three long, quiet breaths, and closed his eyes. Brown's body rested on the stage of legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, the site of his debut. A private ceremony was held in Brown's hometown of Augusta, Georgia and another public ceremony was officiated by Rev. Al Sharpton, a day later at the James Brown Arena there.

Thinkin, winkin, drinkin, sinkin

Routs threw out shouts: "ain't we funky now"

Ugh! (Ugh!) Ugh! (Ugh!) Ugh!
I'm hot, huh!

Turnin in a rough rotation
Livin in the land of the lost and found
Can't drown in sounds of the James Brown, Brown, Brown
This is the mixture when you add hard texture
Can't get no harder, so I'm out to getcha
Its essence felt, you're turned inside out
Fellas, what you gon' say now?
Thirsty? Not, my verse just quenched your thirst
>From the burst of energy
Shinin on the appetite
Can't cross the thin line of the end of my time
(Hah!) Hold it, I'm still burnin
Pop or not, I come to break up slots
Cause it can't get no harder
Give it to me, Godfather

[ James Brown ]
Can't get any harder - than what I got
Cause what I got - is sho' nuff hard to stop
Can't get any harder - cause what I got

Won't let nobody bring me down
Rock solid, solid as a rock
Too smooth to move and too hard to stop

Oh yes, come and get with this entourage
As we get busy in the garage
Leaders of the New forever large
Cause we got the funk flip script, oh yes
Get up and ill, everybody move your hip, scream out: "Yes!"
That's what I'm talkin about - ah!
Busta, Leaders come and turn it out
Don't try to front on the flavor
Save that for later
Or join the Maker in the spirit like an elevator
You wanna know somethin funny? I was devasted
When I elaborated how we collaborated
With singers in music activated
Most necessary that we salute many too livin legendary
James Brown comin to you, better open the door
Because I wanna MOP THE FLOOR!

Don't Know Why
Norah Jones

I waited'til I saw the sun
I don't know why I didn't come
I left you by the house of fun
I don't know why I didn't come
I don't know why I didn't come

When I saw the break of day
I wished that I could fly away
Instead of kneeling in the sand
Catching teardrops in my hand

My heart is drenched in wine
But you'll be on my mind
Forever

Out across the endless sea
I would die in ecstasy
But I'll be a bag of bones
Driving down the road alone

My heart is drenched in wine
But you'll be on my mind
Forever

Something has to make you run
I don't know why I didn't come
I feel as empty as a drum
I don't know why I didn't come
I don't know why I didn't come

When the doves cry
Prince (The Artist)

Dig if U will the picture
Of U and I engaged in a kiss
The sweat of your body covers me
Can U my darling
Can U picture this?

Dream if U can a courtyard
An ocean of violets in bloom
Animals strike curious poses
They feel the heat
The heat between me and U

Chorus:
How can U just leave me standing
Alone in a world that's so cold? (So cold)
Maybe I'm just 2 demanding
Maybe I'm just like my father - 2 bold
Maybe U're just like my mother
She's never satisfied (She's never satisfied)
Why do we scream at each other?
This is what it sounds like when doves cry

Touch if U will my stomach
Feel how it trembles inside
U've got the butterflies all tied up
Don't make me chase U
Even doves have pride

I Remember You

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain,
The wind would whisper and I'd think of you
And all the tears you cried, that called my name
And when you needed me I came through

I paint a picture of the days gone by,
When love went blind and you would make me see
I'd stare a lifetime into your eyes
So that I knew that you were there for me,
Time after time, you were there for me

Remember yesterday, walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand, I remember you
Through the sleepless nights, through every endless day,
I'd wanna hear you say, I remember you

We spend the summer with the top rolled down,
Wished ever after would be like this
You said "I love you babe," without a sound
I said I'd give my life for just one kiss
I'd live for your smile, and die for your kiss

Remember yesterday, walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand, I remember you
Through the sleepless nights, through every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say, I remember you

We've had our share of hard times,
But that's the price we paid
And through it all, we kept the promise that we made
I swear you'll never be lonely

Woke up to the sound of pouring rain,
Washed away a dream of you
But nothing else could ever take you away,
'Cause you'll always be my dream come true,
Oh my darling, I love you!

Remember yesterday, walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand, I remember you
Through the sleepless nights, through every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say, I remember you

Remember yesterday, walking hand in hand
Love letters in the sand, I remember you
Through the sleepless nights, through every endless day
I'd wanna hear you say,
I remember
I remember you
ohhh uhhh yeah!

Your eyes are wide
And though your soul
It cant be bought
Your mind can wander

Hello hello
I'm at a place called Vertigo
It's everything I wish I didn't know
Except you give me something I can feel, feel

The night is full of holes
As bullets rip the sky
Of ink with gold
They twinkle as the
Boys play rock and roll
They know they can't dance
At least they know.

I can't stand the beats
I'm asking for the cheque
The girl with crimson nails
Has Jesus round her neck
Swinging to the music
Swinging to the music
Oh oh oh oh

Hello hello
I'm at a place called Vertigo
It's everything I wish I didn't know
But you give me something I can feel, feel

Check mated
Oh yeah
Hours of fun

All of this, all of this can be yours
All of this, all of this can be yours

All of this, all of this can be yours
Just give me what I want and no-one gets hurt.

Hello hello
Were at a place called Vertigo
Lights go down and all I know
Is that you give me something

I can feel your love teaching me how
Your love is teaching me how, how to kneel

Yeah yeah yeah yeah
