AEROSMITH - I DON' T WANT TO MISS A THING
Aerosmith is a prominent American rock band, which regards itself as "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band". Although they are known as "the bad boys from Boston", none of the members are actually from the city. Three of the members, Steven Tallarico (Tyler), Joe Perry, and Tom Hamilton had originally met in Sunapee, New Hampshire in the late '60s, but had not yet formed a band together. Tyler was from Yonkers, New York, Perry from Hopedale, Massachusetts, and Hamilton from New London, New Hampshire. In 1970, the three decided to form a band and that Boston, Massachusetts would be the ideal venue.
Guitarist Brad Whitford and drummer Joey Kramer rounded out the lineup, and the band released their eponymous debut album in 1973. The band produced a string of ground-breaking hard rock albums and enjoyed major popularity throughout the 1970s, but their serious substance abuse and drug addictions contributed to their decline (The Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia reportedly said they were "the druggiest bunch of guys I've ever seen"), and almost relegated them to the annals of history. Joe Perry and Brad Whitford left the group, and the period from 1979-1984 was a dark one for the band, which carried on with replacements. However, in 1984, chiefly due to the tireless efforts of Joe Perry's then manager, Tim Collins, to reform the original band, Aerosmith was born again. Despite the insistence of his own client Perry that it was unthinkable, Collins succeeded in helping the band resolve old differences and ultimately overcome their addictions. Since then, Aerosmith has remained sober for nearly 20 years, and has achieved a level of sustained success that has well eclipsed their 1970s heyday.

I could stay awake just to hear you breathing,
Watch you smile while you are sleeping,
While you are far away and dreaming,
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender,
I could stay lost in this moment forever,
Where a moment spent with you is a moment I treasure,
(Chorus)
I don't want to close my eyes, I don't want to fall asleep,
Cause I miss you baby, And I don't want to miss a thing,
Cause even when I dream of you, the sweetest dream will never do,
I still miss you baby and I don't want to miss a thing
Lying close to you feeling your heart beating,
And I wondering what you are dreaming,
Wondering if it's me you are seeing,
Then I kiss your eyes and thank god we're together,
I just want to stay with you in this moment forever and forever forever
(Chorus)
And I don't want to miss one smile,
I don't want to miss one kiss,
I just want to be with you right here with you,
Just like this, I just want to hold you close,
I feel your heart so close to mine
And just stay here in this moment,
For all of the rest of time
(Chorus)
DURAN DURAN - SUNRISE (REACH UP FOR THE)
Duran Duran was created by Nick Rhodes (keyboards) and John Taylor (bass), with the later addition of Roger Taylor (drums), Andy Taylor (guitar), and Simon Le Bon (lead vocals); none of the Taylors are related. Guitarist Warren Cuccurullo was also a member of the band from 1989 to 2001, and drummer Sterling Campbell was a member from 1989 to 1991.
Although the group never disbanded, it went through several line-up changes over the years. The reunion of the original five members in the early 2000s created a stir among music media and the band's fans. Duran Duran released Astronaut from the reunited line-up in 2004. Andy Taylor dropped out of the band in October 2006, but the band will continue recording. The next new album is expected to be released in mid-2007.

Now the time has come, the music's between us
Though the night seems young - is at an end
Only change will bring you out of the darkness
In this moment everything is born again
Reach up for the sunrise
Put your hands into the big sky
You can touch the sunrise
Feel the new day enter your life
Reach up for the sunrise
Put your hands into the big sky
You can touch the sunrise
Feel the new day enter your life
Now the fireball burns, we go round together
As the planet turns into the light
Something more than dreams to watch out for each other
Coz we know what is means to be alive
Reach up for the sunrise
Put your hands into the big sky
You can touch the sunrise
Feel the new day enter your life
Reach up for the sunrise
Put your hands into the big sky
You can touch, touch the sunrise
Feel the new day enter your life

I'm With You
Avril Lavigne
I'm Standing on a bridge
I'm waitin in the dark
I thought that you'd be here by now
Theres nothing but the rain
No footsteps on the ground
I'm listening but theres no sound
Isn't anyone tryin to find me?
Won't someone please take me home
It's a damn cold night
Trying to figure out this life
Won't you take me by the hand
take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are
But I'm, I'm with you
I'm looking for a place
Searching for a face
Is there anybody here I know
Cause nothings going right
And everythigns a mess
And no one likes to be alone
Isn't anyone tryin to find me?
Won't someone please take me home
It's a damn cold night
Trying to figure out this life
Won't you take me by the hand
Take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are
But I'm, I'm with you
Oh why is everything so confusing
Maybe I'm just out of my mind
Yea yea yea
It's a damn cold night
Trying to figure out this life
Won't you take me by the hand
Take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are
But I'm, I'm with you
Take me by the hand
Take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are
But I'm, I'm with you
I'm with you
Take me by the hand
Take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are
But I'm, I'm with you
I'm with you
I'm with you...
GOO GOO DOLLS - IRIS
![](http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2986/4096/320/Googoodolls.0.jpg)
ABOUT THE BAND:
Founded in Buffalo, New York in 1986 by guitarist/vocalist Johnny Rzeznik and bassist/vocalist Robby Takac, the
Goo Goo Dolls, who were then known as the "Sex Maggots" for two days, initially consisted of the two founders and George Tutuska on drums. The band changed their name to the Goo Goo Dolls (the name was picked out from an ad in a True Detective magazine) at the request of a local club owner who refused to let them play otherwise. They were originally signed by the short-lived indie label Mercenary Records and they released their self-titled debut album in 1986. A little over a year later, a Los Angeles performance brought the band to the attention of Metal Blade Records, who would later distribute their first wide release.
ABOUT THEIR EARLY YEARS:
In their early career, they were often dismissed by critics as "The Replacements wannabes." (Rzeznik has stated on many occasions that Paul Westerberg is a major influence on his writing.) While they were embraced by college radio and the local punk scene (playing such venues as CBGB's), especially after the release of their third album, Hold Me Up (1990). By this time, the Goos had emerged with their own sound which incorporated a metallic edge, the pleasant melodies, harmonies and simple song structures of pop and, sometimes, furious blasts of punk energy. In 1991, the song "I'm Awake Now" was recorded for the soundtrack of Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, the video for which featured a cameo of Robert Englund in character as Freddy and was played on the major video channels of the time.
ABOUT IRIS:
In 1998, "Iris" was released on the City of Angels soundtrack, and the Goos were propelled to stardom, as the song stayed on the Billboard charts at number one for 18 weeks and was nominated for three Grammys that year. The song was also included on their sixth album, Dizzy Up the Girl, which was released that same year and spawned single hits "Slide", "Iris", "Black Balloon", "Broadway" and "Dizzy." The album's slick production and toned-down edge put off many long time fans, feeling the Goo Goo Dolls had abandoned their college/indie rock roots. However, they were replaced with legions of new fans; a result of the band's mainstream exposure. (Most Goo Goo Dolls concert sets feature few, if any, songs the band wrote before 1995, reflecting the band's more current mainstream sound.) In 2001, the Goos released their first ever compilation CD, What I Learned About Ego, Opinion, Art & Commerce. Next, Gutterflower (2002) achieved gold certification, producing the hits "Here Is Gone", "Sympathy", and "Big Machine". 2004 saw the release of the Goo's Live in Buffalo: July 4th 2004 which propelled "Give a Little Bit" to #1 on the US Adult Top 40 chart. 2004 also saw Johnny Rzeznik perform a duet with Avril Lavigne on the song "Iris" at New York's "Fashion Rocks!" concert. Lavigne, who credits "Iris" as her all-time favourite song, later had her first dance with husband Deryck Whibley to this song at their wedding on July 15, 2006.

Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight

Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything seems like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know your alive

CIARA - 1, 2 STEP (FEATURING MISSY ELLIOTT)
Ciara Harris (sounds like Sierra) was born on October 25, 1985.
She grew up in a military household and as a military brat (her father was in the army, her mother was in the air force), she moved around her family moved around the country (and the world) while she was younger. She lived in Arizona, California, Germany and Nevada before eventually settling in Atlanta.
She always enjoyed singing. She began doing some modeling, but thought that singing would be her focus after she finished school. She graduated Riverdale High School in 2003 and she wrote down on a piece of paper that she was going to be a professional singer and set out to do just that. She cut out everything that did not have to do with a singing career, including talking on the phone, friends and even broke up with her boyfriend. She joined a girl group (Hear Say), but quickly decided that she should be a solo artist, and then she hooked up with record producer Jazze Pha and signed with his record label (Sho’Nuff).
Together with Sean Garret (co-wrote “Yeah”), and produced by Lil’ Jon, they wrote her first single, "Goodies," which was produced in the Crunk & B style first originated by Usher. In 2004, she was the first female to release a song in this genre and after it became popular, she was dubbed with the title of the First Lady of Crunk & B. [Note: the word “crunk” was derived from mixing of the words “crazy and “funk”.] The album by the same name (Goodies), released by LaFace Records also became an instant chart topper (Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Top 10) when it was released in September of that year.
She released her Goodies video in 2005 which includes music videos from the album and the making of "1, 2, Step" other behind the scene scenes and bonus song. She is currently touring around the U.S.
She won the 2005 BET Award for best collaboration for her the hit song "1, 2, Step" featuring Missy Elliot
Second single, second monster hit for
Ciara. This time featuring Missy Elliot and produced by the said lady as well for good measure. 1,2, Step is more arse shaking floor filling R&B that crosses to radio as well. The difference between this track and “Goodies” is that “1,2” has a wicked melodic soulful twist on it’s chorus, rather than beeing crunk inspired. This track could well give Ciara another number 1 in a lot of countries.

ALANIS MORISSETTE - CRAZY
Alanis info"Crazy" is a song written by English soul artist
Seal, and produced by Trevor Horn for Seal's debut album Seal (1991). It was released as the album's first single in November 1990 (see 1990 in music) in the United Kingdom. With the help of its music video, which featured multiple recreations of Seal himself, "Crazy" reached number two on the UK singles chart and helped him gain exposure for the first time.
The song's signature is a keyboard mantra that continually swells and swirls, driven by bass-heavy beats and wah-pedal guitars. Its floating, ambient stylings established a sound years before "The Politics of Dancing" by Paul Van Dyk or William Orbit's work with Madonna and All Saints. Orbit produced a remix of the track for the single release. Seal's vocals are deeply melodic and soulful, at times with a characteristic rasp, while at others soaring high above the backing track
Several artists have released cover versions of "Crazy":
* Talisman, on their 1996 album Life.
* Iron Savior, on their 2002 album Condition Red, as a bonus track.
* Mushroomhead, on their 2003 album XIII, as a hidden track.
*
Alanis Morissette, for her greatest hits album Alanis Morissette: The Collection (2005). Morissette said of her cover, "it's poking fun - not only at how I've been perceived but also at what I've accurately been perceived as."[1] Her version served as the album's only single (see 2005 in music) and is briefly heard over an establishing shot of Central Park in the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada.
* Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, on their 2003 album "Take a Break"

Crazy
Alanis Morissette
In a church, by the face,
He talks about the people going under.
Only child know...
A man decides after seventy years,
That what he goes there for, is to unlock the door.
While those around him criticize and sleep...
And through a fractal on a breaking wall,
I see you my friend, and touch your face again.
Miracles will happen as we trip.
But we're never gonna survive, unless...
We get a little crazy
No we're never gonna survive, unless...
We are a little...
Cray...cray...cray...
...Crazy yellow people walking through my head.
One of them's got a gun, to shoot the other one.
And yet together they were friends at school
Ohh, get it, get it, get it, get it no no!
If all were there when we first took the pill,
Then maybe, then maybe, then maybe, then maybe...
Miracles will happen as we speak.
But we're never gonna survive unless...
We get a little crazy.
No we're never gonna survive unless...
We are a little...
Crazy...
No no, never survive, unless we get a little... bit...
Oh darlin...
In a sky full of people, only some want to fly,
Isn't that crazy?
In a world full of people, only some want to fly,
Isn't that crazy?
Crazy...
In a heaven of people there's only some want to fly,
Ain't that crazy?
Oh babe... Oh darlin...
In a world full of people there's only some want to fly,
Isn't that crazy?
Isn't that crazy... Isn't that crazy... Isn't that crazy...
Ohh...
But we're never gonna survive unless, we get a little crazy.. crazy..
No we're never gonna to survive unless we are a little... crazy..
But we're never gonna survive unless, we get a little crazy.. crazy..
No we're never gonna to survive unless, we are a little.. crazy..
No no, never survive unless, we get a little bit...
And then you see things
The size
Of which you've never known before
They'll break it
Someday...
Only child know....
Them things
The size
Of which you've never known before
Someday...
Someway...
KT TUNSTALL - SUDDENLY I SEE
![](http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2986/4096/320/9249654-9249660-slargeKT%20TUNS.jpg)
Two special songs from KT Tunstall, Suddenly I See and Other Side Of The World, but first ou can take a look on her bio...
ABOUT THE PHENOMENON:
KT Tunstall is a sparkling new songwriter with Chinese blood, a Scottish heart, great legwarmers and a cool name - "well, it's got a bit more attitude than Kate which just says farmer's daughter to me," she laughs. KT celebrates classic singer-songwriting in the tradition of Rikki Lee Jones, Carol King and Fleetwood Mac with an articulate, accessible, immediate brew of rootsy sass, wistful quandary and after-hours atmosphere. The latest in a line of outstanding contemporary Scottish songwriters including Texas, Fran Healy, Teenage Fanclub and The Beta Band, KT's unique perspective offers a rare emotionally connecting intensity through it's gripping lyrical bite and heartfelt melody.

Her face is a map of the world
Is a map of the world
You can see she's a beautiful girl
She's a beautiful girl
Everything around her is a silver pool of light
People who surround her feel the benefit of it
It makes you calm
She holds you captivated in her palm
Suddenly I see
This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see
Why the hell it means so much to me
(Repeat x1)
And I feel like walking the world
Like walking the world
And you can hear she's a beautiful girl
She's a beautiful girl
She fills up every corner like she's born in black and white
Makes you feel warmer when you're trying to remember
What you heard
She likes to leave you hanging on a wire
Suddenly I see
This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see
Why the hell it means so much to me
(Repeat x1)
And she's taller than most
And she's looking at me
I can see her eyes looking from a page in a magazine
She makes me feel like I could be a tower
Big strong tower
She got the power to be
The power to give
The power to see yeah yeah
Suddenly I see
She got the power to be
The power to give
The power to see yeah yeah (x3)
Suddenly I see
This is what I wanna be
Suddenly I see
Why the hell it means so much to me

Oh, brother I can't, I can't get through
I've been trying hard to reach you 'cause I don't know what to do
Oh, brother I can't believe it's true
I'm so scared about the future and I want to talk to you
Oh I want to talk to you
You can take a picture of something you see
In the future where will I be?
You could climb a ladder up to the sun
Or write a song that no one had sung
Or do something that's never been done
Are you lost or incomplete?
Do you feel like a puzzle?
You can't find your missing piece
Tell me how you feel
Well I feel like they're talking in a language I don't speak
And they're talking it to me
So you take a picture of something you see
In the future where will I be?
You could climb a ladder up to the sun
Or write a song that no one had sung
Or do something that's never been done
Do something that's never been done
So you don't know were you're going and you wanna talk
But you feel like you're going where you've been before
You tell anyone who'll listen but you feel ignored
Nothing's really making any sense at all
Let's talk
Let's talk
Let's talk
Let's talk
