Billie Jean
M. Jackson

She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene
I said I don't mind, but what do you mean I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round
She said I am the one who will dance on the floor in the round

She told me her name was Billie Jean, as she caused a scene
Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls'hearts
And mother always told me be careful who you love
Be carefeul what you do 'cause the lie becomes the truth

Chorus:
Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son

For forty days and for forty nights
The law was on her side
But who can stand when she's in demand
Her schemes and plans
'Cause we danced on the floor in the round
So take my strong advice, just remember to always think twice
(Do think twice)

She told me her name was Billie Jean, as she caused a scene
Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful of what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
She came and stood right by me
Then the smell of sweet perfume
This happened way too soon
She called me to her room

Chorus
(Ad lib to fade)

MICHAEL JACKSON - THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT US

"They Don't Care About Us" was the fourth single released from HIStory in April 1996, and also caused controversy - this time over alleged anti-Semitic lyrics. Michael Jackson was prompted to change the lyrics "Jew me, sue me" and "kick me, kike me" to "do me, sue me" and "kick me, strike me" in order for the single to be played on radio and music television. The original music video, which was shot in March on the streets of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, was reportedly not "entirely satisfactory" to Jackson's liking, and so a second music video, the "Prison Version", was made a week later. However, this new music video was banned in some countries, due to complaints that it was too violent, and on both MTV and VH1 it was only allowed to be shown after the 9 o’clock watershed.

Don't you

Chorus

Tell me what has become of my life
I have a wife and two children who love me
I am the victim of police brutality, now
I'm tired of bein' the victim of hate,
You're rapin' me of my pride
Oh for God's sake
I look to heaven to fulfill his prophecy...
Set me free

Tell me what has become of my rights
Am I invisible cause you ignore me
Your proclamation promised me free liberty, now
I'm tired of bein' the victim of shame
They're throwin' me in a class with a bad name

Released as a single in 1999, "Angel" has an enduring popularity. It is often used to highlight emotional scenes on television shows and has featured in a number of soundtracks (including the film City of Angels and TV's Dawson's Creek and General Hospital) and as a song of comfort and healing following the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center terrorist attacks.

City of Angels is a film that was directed by Brad Silberling in 1998. The film stars Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan. Set in Los Angeles, California, U.S., the film is a remake of Wim Wenders' 1987 German film Wings of Desire, which was set in Berlin. In the film, an angel (Cage) falls in love with a human woman (Ryan) and has to decide whether to become mortal to spend human life with her.

Angel
Sarah McLachlan

Spend all your time waiting
for that second chance
for a break that would make it okay
there's always one reason
to feel not good enough
and it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction
oh beautiful release
memory seeps from my veins
let me be empty
and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight

in the arms of the angel
fly away from here
from this dark cold hotel room
and the endlessness that you fear
you are pulled from the wreckage
of your silent reverie
you're in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort here

so tired of the straight line
and everywhere you turn
there's vultures and thieves at your back
and the storm keeps on twisting
you keep on building the lie
that you make up for all that you lack
it don't make no difference
escaping one last time
it's easier to believe in this sweet madness oh
this glorious sadness that brings me to my knees

in the arms of an angel
fly away from here
from this dark cold hotel room
and the endlessness that you fear
you are pulled from the wreckage
of your silent reverie
you're in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort there
you're in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort here

SEETHER (FEATURING AMY LEE) - BROKEN

After Disclaimer was released, the band went on a non-stop touring route in hopes of boosting sales and name recognition. Upon completing the tour, the band had planned to go into the studio and record their sophomore release. However, they were instead tapped to support Evanescence on a worldwide tour that postponed their recording plans by almost a year. On this tour, the band reworked the acoustic ballad Broken into an electric ballad and had Amy Lee of Evanescence share vocal duties with Morgan during live performances. Inspired by the positive reaction the duet got on the road and perhaps fueled by a budding romance between Lee and Morgan...

Broken
Seether (Featuring Amy Lee)

I wanted you to know I love the way you laugh
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain away
I keep your photograph and I know it serves me well
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain

'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away

You've gone away, you don't feel me here, anymore

The worst is over now and we can breathe again
I wanna hold you high, you steal my pain away
There’s so much left to learn, and no one left to fight
I wanna hold you high and steal your pain

'Cause I'm broken when I'm open
And I don’t feel like I am strong enough
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m lonesome
And I don’t feel right when you’re gone away

'Cause I'm broken when I'm open
And I don’t feel like I am strong enough
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m lonesome
And I don’t feel right when you’re gone away

'Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone

You've gone away
You don't feel me here anymore
